Job summary

Relativity Space seeks an engineer to lead the design, integration, checkout, and operation of recovery subsystems for Terran R campaigns. You will develop procedures for the recovery vessel, coordinate with engineering teams, and support offshore operations.

You should have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with at least two years of relevant experience, with strong safety and hazard analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• At least two years of relevant professional experience.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and apply engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration, checkout, and operation of recovery subsystems for Terran R flight campaigns.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures for the recovery vessel.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify improvements and resolve challenges.
• Plan and execute activation and checkout testing for barge subsystems.
• Analyze system performance and coordinate corrective actions for readiness.
• Support offshore recovery operations in dynamic environments.
