Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking engineers to design, integrate, test, and operate electrical systems aboard the recovery barge supporting Terran R missions. You will work across the engineering lifecycle from build to sea trials, collaborating with marine and operations teams to ensure reliability and safety.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, ability to travel ~25%, and strong communication skills to coordinate with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering with hands-on experience applying engineering principles to physical hardware or electrical systems.
• Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles and ability to apply knowledge to unfamiliar systems.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, integration, testing, and operation of electrical systems aboard the recovery barge throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Provide engineering support for electrical systems including PLCs, networking, high-power distribution, and RF telemetry.
• Support offshore recovery operations by verifying electrical system functionality and troubleshooting for safe landings.
• Collaborate with engineering, marine, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
• Incorporate lessons learned into future design and integration of landing platforms and recovery systems.
