Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking a workforce capable of painting and abrasive blasting for offshore platforms, drilling jackets and related equipment. The role requires readiness to work at heights and in confined spaces, with outside conditions and overtime as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate safety-focused tool handling and communication with supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred with related experience.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written or oral instructions and communicate effectively with supervision.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and carry out all abrasive blasting and painting work as required.
• Paint and abrasive blast components for offshore platforms, drilling jackets/decks and oilfield or chemical plant equipment and structures.
• Operate equipment: paint and sand pots, mixers, pressure washers, steam cleaners and film gauges.
• Assist in scaffold building and windbreaks as required.
• Read and understand labels on paint containers and equipment.
