Job summary

Genesis Energy, LP seeks a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Technician to install, test, and repair electrical equipment for crude oil pipelines in the Gulf Coast region. You will perform inspections, calibrations, and maintain LACT/ACT units, meters, and regulators while ensuring safety compliance.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 2 years experience or technical degree, knowledge of high voltage and PLCs (Allen Bradley/GE), valid driver’s license, willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years applicable experience or technical degree preferred.
• Experience with high voltage and PLC units; Allen Bradley and GE preferred.
• Self-starter, able to work with limited supervision.
• Prior LACT/ACT experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• DOT regulations compliance and safety testing.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair electrical/electronic equipment for crude oil pipelines.
• Perform regulatory equipment inspections and daily operation duties.
• Maintain compliance documentation per regulations.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to resolve field problems.
• Test, calibrate, and maintain LACT/ACT units and related equipment.
• Take crude oil samples and repair sampling equipment.
• Operate and maintain pipeline meters and regulators.
• Meet training requirements and pass OQ testing.
• Promote the company safety program.
