Job summary

Fugro-Geoteam AS seeks a Marine Technician I to support offshore, nearshore, and onshore marine operations across multiple service lines. The role assists with installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of a wide range of marine equipment and data acquisition systems.

Training is structured with mentorship and competency-based progression. Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED with at least one year of related experience, and must pass offshore medical

Qualifications

• GED or High school diploma required with minimum of a year or more experience.
• Must be able to pass OGUK physical and a DOT drug screen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain offshore medical and safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, mobilization, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of marine equipment.
• Support offshore and onshore operations across Hydrographic, Geophysical, Geotechnical, ROV, AUV, MetOcean, and Marine Survey projects.
• Perform equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, calibrations, and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot basic to intermediate electrical, electronic, mechanical, networking, software, and data acquisition issues.
• Maintain equipment inventories, maintenance records, technical documentation, and project reports.
• Travel offshore, nearshore, and remote project locations as required.
