Job summary

Genesis Energy, LLC is seeking an Offshore Instrumentation/Electrical Technician to support safe installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control systems and electrical equipment aboard our Gulf offshore assets. The role requires strong reading of P&IDs, wiring, and maintaining safety protocols, with a 14/14 offshore schedule departing from Houma, LA.

A high school diploma or GED and technical training are required, with overtime and DOT testing routine.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical trade school, apprenticeship, or associate degree in instrumentation preferred.
Knowledge of electrical codes; familiar with 120-480V AC and 24V DC.
Able to read P&ID diagrams and electrical drawings.
Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
Willing to work overtime and in hazardous conditions offshore.
DOT drug and alcohol testing will be performed.
Strong math, mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Able to read safety procedures and manuals.

Responsibilities

Assist in installing instrumentation and electrical components safely offshore.
Troubleshoot control systems, gas turbines, generators, and gas chromatography equipment.
Run conduit, pull wire, and maintain lighting and motor controls.
Read and interpret P&ID and electrical diagrams; follow plant drawings.
Maintain end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, and process controls.
Work indoors/outdoors in industrial environments; comply with safety rules.
