Job summary

ConocoPhillips seeks an Offshore Oiler to work under the supervision of the First Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer aboard Polar Tankers. You will monitor engines, assist with plant operations, perform routine maintenance, and participate in drills while upholding safety and pollution prevention standards.

This role requires long shifts, travel away from home, and ability to handle heavy equipment. It offers comprehensive maritime benefits and growth opportunities within a global energy

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
• Currently hold, or be able to obtain, a U.S. Passport
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
• MMC endorsements: Able Seafarer – Engine, RFPEW, QMED
• Willing to be away from home for periods over two months
• Be capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and pushing/pulling 200 pounds
• Able to climb ladders and work outside in harsh conditions

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Clean engine scavenge air box, lube and fuel oil purifiers and filters
• Take tank soundings and top off tanks as directed
• Assist crane and rigging operations after training
• Perform general maintenance on equipment and keep records
• Chipping, scraping, and painting as needed
• Work 12-hour days with overtime as required
