Job summary

Ørsted US Offshore Operations seeks a qualified electrical professional to join the High Voltage Transmission System team. The role involves commissioning, maintaining, operating and troubleshooting high and low‑voltage equipment in substations across the North‑East region, with onshore and offshore duties and guidance per ØESR.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of electrical working experience in substations.
• Qualified person under HV Safety Rules (HVSR) with training provided.
• Experience performing switching operations on HV transmission assets.
• Willingness to become a qualified person under ØESR within 1 year.
• Able to work shift patterns, offshore up to 7/14 days on SOV.
• Must have medical checks and GWO safety training.

Responsibilities

• Isolate and ground HV equipment safely for planned and unplanned work.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HV substation assets.
• Troubleshoot using alarms from SCADA or local control.
• Operate transmission system configurations and contingencies; understand relay schemes.
• Outage management and coordination with relevant personnel.
• Lead contractors and ensure safety procedures in substations.
