Job summary

Gulf Island is seeking an HSE Coordinator to monitor yard and shop operations for compliance with safety rules and procedures. You will identify hazards, inspect facilities, assist in incident investigations, and support safety reporting.

The role requires 2+ years in HSE in oil and gas, bilingual Spanish/English abilities, and TWIC card, with occasional offshore travel and night shifts. Must pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in HSE within the oil and gas industry.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to fluently speak Spanish and English.
• Must be able to work On-Call occasionally.
• Must be able to work night shift occasionally.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Valid TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections of field operations and ensure safe work practices.
• Conduct daily facility inspections and report unsafe conditions.
• Participate in accident investigations and prepare reports.
• Escort employees with on-the-job injuries to medical facilities.
• Issue safety equipment and maintain inventory for safety department.
• Prepare weekly safety reports, incident reports, and OSHA 300-related documents.
• Occasionally travel to offshore platforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
