Job summary

W&T Offshore, Inc. (NYSE: WTI) is seeking a Mobile Bay HSE Coordinator to support engineering, construction, regulatory, drilling, and production teams in Theodore, Alabama. This on-site role leads health and safety initiatives and ensures compliance with applicable standards.

The position requires a safety-focused degree and offshore experience, with strong communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities include safety meetings, incident investigations, audits, and training support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a safety related field or similar preferred.
• 3+ years offshore oil and gas industry experience preferred and familiarity with OSHA/PSC/AOGB/EPA/ADEM/MMA compliance.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Good organizational skills are a must along with the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in software programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Acrobat and other related software required.
• Very proficient in Excel with database experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as member of the local leadership team and as a local point of contact in the area of Health & Safety.
• Facilitate the plant daily safety meetings and document each discussion in the daily safety meeting minutes.
• Conduct plant safety orientations
• Frequently review plant and offshore facilities safety-related paperwork (JSEAs, LOTO, work permits, etc.) and verify paperwork correctness in the field, and document these reviews.
• Keep all personnel updated about new internal and external safety standards and procedures, including highlighting changes made.
• Conduct investigations of incidents, including accidents, injuries, spills and near misses, determine root causes of each and prepare associated reports to include corrective action to mitigate future incidents.
