Job summary

IPT Global is seeking a field-based safety engineer to lead safety programs on client sites and coordinate well testing operations.

You will plan and manage equipment installation, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure documentation and procedures across offshore environments are followed. This full-time role requires offshore travel and on-call rotation with credentialing like TWIC/HUET/BOSIET.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
  • Willing to receive yellow fever vaccine and maintain safety certifications.
  • Available for an on-call rotation including nights/weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel offshore.
  • Must have or obtain TWIC, HUET/BOSIET and a USA passport.
  • Must pass offshore medical examination and be able to travel globally.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF workflows.

  • Monitor and document testing processes for surface and subsea operations.
  • Create BSD files, wellbore schematics, and test plans.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage equipment and network installation in field settings.
  • Troubleshoot basic network issues on the rig and escalate to RTOC/Operations Manager.
  • Adhere to all processes to ensure excellence in service delivery.
  • Understand client needs and identify opportunities to increase support.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Represent IPT as a visible safety leader at the client work site.
  • Participate in all work site/rig-based safety programs
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage well control equipment and well barrier-testing operations
  • Liaise with stakeholders and other vendors at the client work site in to streamline testing operations
  • Monitor and thoroughly document processes related to the testing used in surface and subsea operations
  • Create Base Schematic Design (BSD) files, wellbore schematics, and test plans
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage equipment and network installation in various field settings
  • Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues on the rig and the ability to escalate those issues to the Real-Time Operations Center (RTOC) and Operations Manager
  • Strict adherence to all processes to ensure continued excellence in service delivery
  • Work to understand needs of client and identify opportunities to increase level of customer support
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
  • Must be willing to receive yellow fever vaccine.
  • Maintain all necessary safety and training certifications, assuring ability to perform the job functions in the field.
  • The ability to participate in an “on-call” rotation schedule to include nights/weekends and work extended hours.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and valid proof of sufficient vehicle insurance.
  • Must be capable of completing field training program.
  • Must be able to work offshore and travel by helicopter and boat.
  • Must have or be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), HUET/BOSIET certification, and a USA Passport.
  • Must have or be able to pass the needed medical examination for offshore work.
  • Must be willing and able to travel on short notice to locations throughout the world for extended periods of time.
  • Computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF creation, and other proprietary software.
  • Computer troubleshooting, networking/network troubleshooting and hardware repair skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry with knowledge in drilling, completions, intervention, and P&A operations
