Atlas NextWave is seeking a temporary Offshore Electronic Technician to join a jack-up rig off the Texas coast for a 21-day rotation, with potential additional rotations. The role covers inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of electronic, electrical control, instrumentation, and automation systems in a hazardous offshore environment.

Responsibilities include PLC/VFD maintenance, sensor calibration, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards and LOTO.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electronic Technician on offshore drilling rigs.
• Strong knowledge of drilling equipment electronics, PLC systems, VFDs, instrumentation and automated control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems in offshore environments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, electrical diagrams, P&IDs and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with hazardous-area electrical equipment and offshore safety requirements.
• Experience with preventive maintenance systems and maintenance reporting.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electronic systems onboard an offshore jack-up drilling rig.
• Maintain PLCs, VFDs, motor control systems, and electronic automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot sensors, transmitters, and electronic monitoring devices.
• Diagnose faults using testing equipment, diagnostic software, and technical drawings.
• Ensure safe operation of alarms, monitoring systems, and interlocks.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of new electronic equipment and control systems.
• Follow all HSE policies, permit-to-work procedures, and LOTO requirements.
