Job summary

Noble Corporation seeks an experienced Drilling Section Leader to provide onboard leadership for meeting the customer drilling program requirements within Noble’s policies and procedures. You will ensure safety, environmental compliance, and efficiency while managing rig budgets and supplies.

The role requires strong technical drilling knowledge, leadership and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments, clients, and shore-based supervision to deliver safe and cost-effective offshore

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience as an Assistant Rig Manager / DSL.
• MODU OIM License (Unrestricted). Working towards Unrestricted License.
• Strong technical background in all aspects of drilling operations and support equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication and management skills.
• Proficient with office software and company proprietary software.
• Experience with Dynamic Positioning Systems.
• Experience with offshore marine operations and environmental regulations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and own rig equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Represent Noble on board the unit and oversee overall operation, management and safety offshore.
• Coordinate with the supervisor on operations affecting ballast, loading and rig movements.
• Order rig supplies and materials to ensure on-hand availability.
• Make decisions on utilization and maintenance of drilling equipment as PIC when required.
• Lead daily briefings with crew and provide necessary support for ongoing operations.
• Follow directions from Drilling Superintendent during adverse weather to ensure safety.
• Plan and monitor progress with Department Heads and key personnel to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain regular communication with the Operator’s on-site representative to align priorities and client relations.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain organized records.
