Job summary

Danos is seeking a Deepwater Crane Operator to safely operate and maintain cranes on an offshore procurement platform in the Gulf of Mexico. The role requires guiding construction riggers, performing inspections, and adhering to safety protocols in challenging offshore conditions.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of offshore crane experience on floating facilities, a Crane Operator Certification, and a willingness to assist other crafts when not lifting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years offshore crane operating experience on a floating facility.
• Crane Operator Certification is required.
• Be willing to assist other crafts on the platform when not performing lifts.
• Experience operating Seatrax cranes and deepwater operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate levers and pedals to control the crane.
• Follow hand signals to raise, lower, and rotate the boom or load.
• Lift and move equipment or material on the platform and between boats in varying sea conditions.
• Maintain and clean crane equipment.
• Provide leadership to construction riggers.
• Conduct safety and operation inspections of the crane.
