Job summary

Transocean is seeking a Crane Operator to safely operate the rig’s crane and perform preventive maintenance in alignment with company policies. You will report to senior officers and supervise junior crew while ensuring lifting operations meet safety standards.

The role emphasizes a strong safety culture, participation in safety meetings, and comprehensive adherence to operational and HSE requirements on the offshore site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certs preferred.
• Experience operating cranes on offshore rigs and meeting safety standards.
• Ability to supervise crew and coordinate with safety and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate the rig’s crane in a safe and efficient manner per policies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on cranes and components.
• Report to Sr Mate/Chief Mate/Deckpusher and supervise assistants.
• Promote a safe and respectful work environment and participate in safety meetings.
• Inspect lifting equipment before use and ensure loads are clear and secured.
