Job summary

Altrad Sparrows in the Americas region is hiring an Offshore Crane Mechanic to execute crane services in the field, inspect and repair hydraulic cranes, and implement preventive maintenance for reliability and safety. Candidates should have strong communication and the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

A valid driving record is required. You will work with a team to manage tools, complete paperwork promptly, and adhere to safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years offshore crane mechanic experience.
• Understanding of basic mechanics and hydraulics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of crane rigging procedures.
• Ability to perform tasks independently and collaboratively.
• Must possess personal hand tools.
• A clean driving record is essential.
• Must be able to work an adhoc schedule.

Responsibilities

• Execute offshore crane services in the field.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic cranes and components.
• Implement a preventative maintenance program for offshore cranes.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting as required.
• Monitor activities and uphold the company’s image and reputation.
• Manage and maintain assigned tools and equipment with safety compliance.
• Identify crane components and complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to Sparrows Offshore's Quality Policy and safety/environment requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor within job constraints.
