Job summary

Altrad Sparrows in the United States is seeking an Offshore Crane Mechanic to support field crane services, perform inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on hydraulic cranes, and implement a preventive maintenance program.

Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ offshore crane experience, be proficient with hydraulics and mechanics, possess personal tools, have a clean driving record, and be able to work adhoc hours.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic mechanics and hydraulics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of crane rigging procedures.
• Ability to perform tasks independently and collaboratively.
• Must possess personal hand tools.

• Must be able to work an adhoc schedule.

Responsibilities

• Execute all aspects of offshore crane services in the field.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic cranes, including winches, valves, engines, and hydraulic components.
• Implement a preventative maintenance program for offshore cranes.
• Conduct electrical parts changeouts and perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Monitor and contribute to the company’s image and reputation.
• Manage and maintain assigned tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with driving guidelines.
• Identify various crane components and complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to Sparrows Offshore's Quality Policy and comply with safety and environmental requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Position: Offshore Crane Mechanic
