Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a Camp Boss in Lafayette, LA for full-time remote-site operations. You will oversee living accommodations, food quality, safety, customer service, and staff morale at offshore or land-based camps.

The position offers a rotating schedule up to 28 days on and 14 days off, meals and lodging, and hourly pay of $18–$21 with competitive benefits. Prior culinary management and offshore/remote camp experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing culinary operations in offshore or remote camps.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate schedules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a clean and neat appearance at all times.
• Address and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain effective communication with clients at the project level.
• Train employees on job-specific and safety requirements, ensuring compliance with company and client policies.
• Supervise associates to uphold sanitary standards in food serving, storage, and accommodation areas.
• Ensure health, safety, and food safety issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and crew changes; monitor staff hours and payroll compliance.
• Monitor budgets, control food, labor, purchasing, and inventory costs.
