Job summary

Valaris Limited is seeking a 4th Engineer in Houston to assist senior engineers in maintaining the MODU power plant and machinery, prioritizing crew safety and environmental protection.

You will monitor engine room operations, manage power distribution, and perform routine maintenance while following training matrices and safety protocols for offshore operations.

Collaboration and proactive risk assessment are essential to ensure reliable operations and compliance across rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Graduation from a Maritime Academy is required.
• Completion of all training and certification requirements for the position as described in the training matrix.

Responsibilities

• Watch in the Engine Control Room.
• Assure proper power distribution on the MODU.
• Maintain mechanical equipment as required.
• Responsible for bunkering, transferring fuel, water, and other fluids safely and efficiently.
• Maintain order, cleanliness, and housekeeping at mechanical sites.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational procedures and assist with procedure revisions and risk assessments.
