Job summary

Valaris seeks a 4th Engineer to assist the Chief, 2nd, and 3rd Engineers in providing technical support for the MODU. The role focuses on safe operation of the power plant and machinery, with emphasis on crew safety, environmental protection, and overall safety of the MODU.

The successful candidate will participate in safety meetings, perform engine room watch duties, ensure proper power distribution, and maintain mechanical equipment while supporting bunkering and fluid transfers in a demanding

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Graduation from a Maritime Academy is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety of crew, environment, and engine room.
• Attends and participates in all pre-tour, post tour, and weekly safety meeting.
• Responsible for watch in the Engine Control Room.
• Assures proper power distribution on MODU.
• Maintains mechanical equipment when required.
• Responsible for bunkering, transferring fuel, water, and other fluids safely and efficiently.
• Maintains order, cleanliness, and housekeeping at mechanical sites.
• Identifies opportunities to improve operational procedures and assists with procedure revisions and risk assessments.
