Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Offset 2nd Pressperson to assist the 1st Pressperson in running the Offset Press. You will be trained across all aspects of the press operation and contribute to safety, quality and production targets.

The role requires readiness to work overtime, basic computer skills, and ability to read safety and maintenance documents. A high school diploma or GED is required to start.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read safety rules and operation/maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the 1st Pressperson in operating the Offset Press and performing safety/quality checks.
• Prep press for next production run (sheets, plates, ink, etc.).
• Maintain safety, quality and production standards; keep area clean and equipment well‑maintained.
• Take over duties during the 1st Pressperson's absences.
• Assist in training other press personnel.
• Overtime is required; work in a safe, efficient manner per company policies.
