Job summary

RRD in the United States is seeking an experienced press operator to set up, adjust, operate and maintain single or multi-color offset presses. You will perform make-ready tasks, examine plates and cylinders for imperfections, and ensure correct image positioning before production runs.

Responsibilities include color corrections, press maintenance, and minor repairs, plus training new and existing staff to uphold company policies and best practices, boosting team performance and productivity.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications to determine press setup materials needed to run the job successfully.
• Knowledge of press capabilities to determine appropriate use and adjustments to run efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset press.
• Perform make-ready tasks and inspect plates/cylinders for imperfections and correct image positioning.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments prior to production runs to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, and perform minor repairs as required.
• Train and mentor new and existing employees to uphold policies, procedures, and best practices.
