Qualifications

• Must have prior printing press operating experience.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret densitometer readings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Review job tickets to determine production requirements, ink specs, and customer expectations.
• Verify inks match approved specifications with the Second Pressman.
• Adjust printing units to maintain proper control, registration and print quality.
• Mount printing plates and prepare the press for production runs.
• Perform ink and water balance adjustments to optimize press performance.
• Operate press controls and monitor output quality throughout production.
• Lead press crew activities to maximize productivity and safety.
