Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Press Operator II to safely set up, operate, and troubleshoot printing press equipment to meet production, quality, and safety standards. You will support production goals and perform quality checks, serving as a backup to the Lead Operator when needed.

This role requires proficiency with Number 6 and Number 7 presses, reading job jackets and pallet tickets, and applying MTorres, Tresu, Zerand, and BST registration systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate both Number 6 and Number 7 Presses.
• Knowledge of job jackets and pallet tickets.
• Proficiency in MTorres, Tresu, Zerand, and BST Registration Systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must successfully complete required knowledge testing.

Responsibilities

• Backup the Lead Operator as needed.
• Meet production goals for waste, output, and make-readies.
• Review job jackets and pallet tickets for job requirements.
• Operate the cutter and assist with make-ready activities.
• Set up delivery, print-to-cut registration, eye marks, stripper wires, pin cylinders, and stackers.
• Complete daily production reports.
• Operate both Number 6 and Number 7 Presses.
• Follow all quality and safety procedures.
