Job summary

HRforGrowth is seeking an experienced Offset Press Operator to join a production team on the Night Shift. You will operate Komori LS and GL series 6-color sheet-fed presses, perform make-ready, monitor quality, and strive to meet customer requirements while minimizing waste.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of offset printing experience, with proficiency in multi-color presses and basic mechanical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years offset (sheet-fed) printing experience.
• Proficiency with multi-color (2-6 units) offset press equipment.
• Understands LAB values and makes ink adjustments to maintain branded match color compliance.
• Possesses mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Komori LS and GL series automated offset sheet-fed presses (6-color).
• Perform make-ready, achieve run speed standards and quality targets.
• Monitor printed products for quality while minimizing waste and rework.
• Apply G7 color theory including gray balance, dot gain and ink trap for high-quality process printing.
• Accurately record time and materials for each job and maintain equipment.
• Diagnose problems, make adjustments, troubleshoot, and provide timely maintenance.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Follow safety procedures and work instructions; perform other duties as assigned.

Key Results Area

• Responsible for operating high-quality products using Komori LS and GL series automated Offset sheet-fed printing equipment (6-color)
• Responsible for performing machine make ready, achieving run speed standards, productivity efficiencies, and more importantly, achieving customer requirements and quality standards
• Monitors the product for quality while minimizing waste and rework
• Utilizes G7 color theory including gray balance, dot gain and ink trap to provide high quality process printing
• Accurately records time and materials for each job and is accountable for equipment maintenance
• Diagnoses problems, makes adjustments, troubleshoots and provides the required maintenance to equipment in a timely manner
• Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry up to as much as 60 pounds occasionally
• Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures and follows all standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
