Job summary

HRforGrowth seeks a Night Shift Offset Press Operator in Midland, TX to run 6-color Komori LS/GL sheet-fed presses and meet customer quality requirements.

You will perform make-ready, monitor quality, apply G7 color theory, and record time/materials while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years offset (sheet-fed) printing experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with multi-color (2-6 units) offset press equipment.
• Understands LAB values and makes ink adjustments to maintain branded color compliance.
• Possesses mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-quality offset printing using 6-color Komori LS/GL sheet-fed presses.
• Perform machine make ready, achieve run speed standards and productivity.
• Monitor product quality while minimizing waste and rework.
• Apply G7 color theory including gray balance, dot gain and ink trap for high-quality prints.
• Accurately record time and materials for each job and maintain equipment.
• Diagnose problems, make adjustments, troubleshoot and perform required maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and work instructions; observe housekeeping rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation.

Key Results Area

• Responsible for operating high-quality products using Komori LS and GL series automated Offset sheet-fed printing equipment (6-color)
• Responsible for performing machine make ready, achieving run speed standards, productivity efficiencies, and more importantly, achieving customer requirements and quality standards
• Monitors the product for quality while minimizing waste and rework
• Utilizes G7 color theory including gray balance, dot gain and ink trap to provide high quality process printing
• Accurately records time and materials for each job and is accountable for equipment maintenance
• Diagnoses problems, makes adjustments, troubleshoots and provides the required maintenance to equipment in a timely manner
• Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry up to as much as 60 pounds occasionally
• Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures and follows all standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
