Job summary

HRforGrowth is seeking an experienced Offset Press Operator to join our client’s team in a fast-paced print production environment. This role involves operating Komori LS/GL 6-color sheet-fed presses, performing make-ready, and ensuring color accuracy and quality standards.

The position requires a minimum of 2 years of offset printing experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and strength to lift up to 60 pounds. Night shifts are available, with full-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate Komori LS and GL series 6-color offset sheet-fed printing equipment.
• Perform machine make ready and achieve run speed standards and quality requirements.
• Monitor product quality while minimizing waste and rework.
• Apply G7 color theory to provide high quality process printing.
• Accurately record time and materials for each job; maintain equipment.
• Diagnose problems and perform timely maintenance on equipment.
• Able to push, pull, lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Follow safety procedures and SOPs; perform related duties as assigned.

Key Results Area

• Responsible for operating high-quality products using Komori LS and GL series automated Offset sheet-fed printing equipment (6-color)
• Responsible for performing machine make ready, achieving run speed standards, productivity efficiencies, and more importantly, achieving customer requirements and quality standards
• Monitors the product for quality while minimizing waste and rework
• Utilizes G7 color theory including gray balance, dot gain and ink trap to provide high quality process printing
• Accurately records time and materials for each job and is accountable for equipment maintenance
• Diagnoses problems, makes adjustments, troubleshoots and provides the required maintenance to equipment in a timely manner
• Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry up to as much as 60 pounds occasionally
• Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures and follows all standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
