Job summary

Graphic Village is seeking a Prepress Technician – Offset Plate Production to prepare, review, and process digital files for offset printing. You will be the bridge between design, prepress and pressroom, ensuring color accuracy, plate output, and workflow efficiency to meet customer specs.

This full-time role requires at least 1 year of pre-press experience, a strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, and a solid eye for detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year pre-press experience.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field preferred.
• Photography experience is a plus.
• 3-5 years of agency experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with production, sales and design teams to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
• Receive and manipulate files electronically from email.
• Troubleshoot customer files, load fonts, inspect graphics and make color separations.
• Prepare file for output.
• Layout/impose files on template and output.
• Ensure files are maintained and organized for easy retrieval.
• Provide training and advice to customers on the preparation of digital files.
• Discuss and implement internal and client feedback in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay up to date with emerging technology and design trends.
• Collaborate with art director and other creative team members.
