Job summary

Provides processing and support services to Pre-Press and relating to printing plates, Flexo plate mounting, CAD samples, Customer artwork files processing and output.

Responsibilities

• Read instructions provided on electronic Job Ticket, use reference material provided to verify correct job is being produced.
• Artwork flight checking and preparation for production layouts, proofing and review of CTP files generated prior to the making of plates.
• Make offset printing plates according to production schedule and press requirements.
• Perform quality checks on plates after exposure and processing with visual inspection and using provided die vinyl as outlined within work instructions.
• Perform quality checks on Flexo Plates and mount on appropriate cylinders by following the production schedule.
• Maintain organized storage of files, plates, OK Print Sheets etc. for retrieval and cleanliness of plate room always.
• Responsible for maintenance and PM requirements for the plate processing equipment including records of completion for audit purposes.
• Recommend solutions to problems which may adversely affect company requirements and customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in both PC and Mac based design programs including Adobe Creative Suite, and PDF Workflow.
• Prior experience in a pre-press environment and/or specific training with verified competency may substitute.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Salary And Benefits

• Full time hourly position, $21.00/hour.
