Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a warehouse associate in the United States to unload tractor trailer loads of furniture and stage items for deliveries. You will follow manufacturer directions and use equipment safely to ensure items are placed as directed by management.

  • Able to read and follow assembly instructions and manufacturer directions.

Responsibilities

  • Unload tractor trailer loads of furniture and stage items for deliveries.
  • Follow management guidance to ensure items are assembled or placed correctly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and use equipment properly to protect team members.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and maintain regular attendance; adapt to a flexible schedule.

Job description

Physical warehouse position unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture and staging it for deliveries.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Additional responsibilities will be assigned by our management leaders ensure items are assembled according to the manufacturer directions.
  • Perform a minimum daily offloading output as provided by the management
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace and environment
  • Use equipment properly to ensure the safety of all team members
  • Execute the placement of delivery items as specified by the management
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and work professionally alongside co-workers
  • Embrace the Werner Final Mile Values
  • A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required in addition with the ability to work a flexible schedule
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • One plus years transportation / Logistics / customer product assembly / delivery of furniture or appliances, or experience with a moving company.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Speak English and communicate with coworkers and read assembly instructions.

  • Climbing, stooping, squatting, and kneeling. 0-75 %
