Flooring Services LTD is seeking a dependable Laminator Helper to join our manufacturing team. This role assists with laminating machine operation, unloading and stacking laminated materials, and conducts quality inspections to ensure standards are met.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and capable of working in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include setup assistance, roll changes, inventory/documentation, daily housekeeping, and upholding PPE and safety policies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; manufacturing experience valued.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist laminating materials per daily production schedule and batches.
  • Unload, stack, and transport laminated parts safely and efficiently.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Identify and reject non-conforming products.
  • Assist with machine setup and roll changes for laminating.
  • Complete inventory records and production documentation accurately.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance per company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and practice PPE guidelines.
  • Support production targets by meeting hourly/daily goals.
  • Handle additional duties assigned by the Panel Processing Supervisor.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Laminator Helper to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a critical role in the laminating process by assisting with machine operation, unloading and stacking laminated materials, performing quality inspections, and supporting production goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining quality and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with laminating materials according to the daily production schedule and sequenced batches.
  • Help unload, stack, and transport laminated parts safely and efficiently.
  • Perform visual inspections of laminated materials to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Identify and reject products that do not meet established quality standards.
  • Assist with machine setup and roll changes for laminating operations.
  • Complete inventory control and production documentation accurately.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance activities according to company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through routine housekeeping tasks.
  • Lead by example in adhering to company policies regarding attendance, personal protective equipment (PPE), break schedules, and workplace safety.
  • Support production efficiency by meeting hourly and daily performance goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Panel Processing Department Supervisor.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to assist with laminating machine setup and operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to distinguish between different laminate paper colors.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work effectively in a production environment.
  • Basic reading and writing skills in English.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Relevant manufacturing or production experience may be accepted in lieu of educational requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move large particleboard sheets and other materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and production noise.
