Job summary

Arrow International, Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Laminator Operator to set up, operate, and maintain a laminator, ensuring production goals are met and quality standards are achieved.

You will inspect laminated loads, troubleshoot issues, and assist in training new operators while adhering to safety rules and company policies. This role requires the ability to work overtime and support a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

  • Limited working proficiency in English.
  • Basic reading and math ability.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
  • Ability to utilize hand tools, equipment, and materials as intended by manufacturer.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks for production efficiency and quality.
  • Availability to work overtime and different shifts as needed.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and collaborate with peers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with in-range Bennett Score.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, shut down, and maintain laminator machine according to manufacturer’s specifications to meet daily production goals
  • Maneuver large loads of material into machine and out of machine frequently
  • Inspect each load of laminated products to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Quality inspection procedures are to include: Fiber tear adhesion; Adhesion consistency; Image registration
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues; take corrective action, such as making minor repairs or replacing parts, or escalating concerns appropriately as defined by the supervisor
  • Assist in training new operators by demonstrating tasks and providing guidance on processes and procedures
  • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision, follow up with re-pairing equipment and using phone support as needed
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
  • Adhere to company and departmental policies and rules as defined by the employee handbook or management
  • Perform other duties as assigned and work from written and verbal instruction

Position Overview:

Performs duties to accurately laminate materials to specification. Safely performs position specific responsibilities to ensure a high level of productivity, quality and internal and external customer service while adhering to all relevant company policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends process improvements to streamline and increase efficiency of existing programs.
