Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a temporary administrative support professional for a short-term assignment from July 16 to August 16, 2026. Under general supervision, you will support payroll, budget, data management, and district records, ensuring privacy and compliance with FERPA.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in administrative/clerical work or combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated intermediate-level knowledge with computer-based spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
  • Demonstrated experience producing various general office documents, analysis and recommendations.
  • Bilingual skills may be required based on work location.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado; meet physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research, data management, and reporting on school-based or department data needs; organize, extract and input data/information using district applications and other network computer software; protect privacy and confidentiality according to FERPA and district policy.
  • Monitor and track invoices and budget expenditures; prepare and process purchasing and accounting documents.
  • Process payroll and timekeeping requests.
  • Provide additional support for other operational needs such as student safety, including delegated nursing duties, according to District training and procedures.
  • Respond to administrative requests; provide information and assistance to various stakeholders including DPS employees, vendors, and community members.

About This Job

This is a temporary assignment. Dates needed: 7/16/26-8/16/26. Under general supervision, performs intermediate-level duties to support general office or school-based operations, programs, and functions including payroll, budget, data management, and maintenance of business records.
