You will oversee payroll, scheduling, policy development with the Administrator, monitor performance, and liaise with billing and hospital teams to improve patient flow and service quality. This role requires at least three years of physician office supervision, coding experience, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of physician office supervision in health care organization.
• Prior coding experience required.
• Prefer experience working with cosmetic (self-pay) as well as reconstructive billing to insurance.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and coordinate staff and activities at physician office to provide quality, cost-effective care.
• Ensure efficient clinic flow.
• Responsible for weekly payroll and staff schedules.
• Establish office policies with Administrator in line with hospital standards.
• Oversee initial employee training and mandatory yearly training; monitor performance including annual reviews.
• Review financial performance with Administrator, including reimbursements and operating costs.
• Code charges and collaborate with the administrator and billing office.
• Coordinate with billing to manage demographics, insurance, patient balances and overdues.
• Resolve customer satisfaction issues at clinic sites; liaise with providers, staff, vendors and hospital.
• Implement processes aligned with quality measures and department goals.
• Facilitate credentialing information as needed.

University Physicians’ Association, Inc. is looking for a full-time Office Supervisor for University Plastic Surgeons, a busy physician’s office located at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville.

General Summary of Duties

Responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating staff and activities at physician office to provide quality, cost-effective care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient clinic flow.
• Responsible for weekly payroll and staff schedules.
• Establishment, in conjunction with Administrator, office policies in accordance with established physician office and hospital standards.
• Initial employee training, mandatory yearly training, and monitoring of job performance including annual performance reviews.
• Review and monitor, in conjunction with Administrator, office financial performance including physician CME, reimbursements, and operating costs.
• Code charges, work with administrator.
• Coordinates activities with billing office to include demographics and insurance, patient balances, overdue accounts. Gain expertise in billing office functions as they relate to charge capture and overall patient flow.
• Ensure proper resolution of all customer satisfaction issues related to clinic sites.
• Liaison between practice providers and office employees and between practice and outside vendors / hospital.
• Review and implement processes that align with our quality measures and department goals.
• Facilitate credentialing information as needed.Other Duties as assigned by the Practice Administrator.
