Baptist Health in Jacksonville seeks an experienced Office Specialist for the Cardiology department. This full-time days role handles patient registration, chart preparation, and posting charges in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities include telephone protocols, appointment scheduling, medical record requests, and ensuring exceptional patient service. Candidates should have 1–2 years of front desk experience in a medical office and a high school diploma or GED.

• Front desk experience in a medical office preferred.
• Experience handling patient registrations and records.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Answer and route phone calls following protocols.
• Serve as liaison between patients and practice.
• Manage a large volume of inbound and outbound calls.
• Schedule appointments as needed.
• Prepare patient charts prior to appointments.
• Submit and obtain external medical records.
• Coordinate with third party vendors to fulfill medical record requests.
• Follow call scripts for different scenarios.
• Identify patient needs and provide solutions.
• Perform data entry tasks and ensure accurate records.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage Medical Records on base queue and index in EPIC.
• Handle Medical Record Requests on base queue and forward to HIM.
• Other duties as assigned.

This is a Full-Time Days opportunity Monday through Friday. The hours for this position are typically between 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Depending on the needs of the office, hours may vary on occasion.It is vital that this candidate is adept with multi-tasking and being people-oriented, as they could make or break the patient's experience. The Office Specialist for Baptist Cardiology will provide business services for patients and the healthcare system.
