Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Office Specialist for Cardiology. This full-time days role supports patient registration, document scanning, and posting charges and payments across our cardiology practice.

You will handle telephone protocols, coordinate with patients and vendors, schedule appointments, prepare patient charts, and manage medical records in EPIC. A high school diploma or GED is required, and 1–2 years front desk or medical office experience is preferred.

Baptist Health is hiring an experienced Office Specialist for the Cardiology department at Baptist Health.

This is a Full-Time Days opportunity Monday through Friday. The hours for this position are typically between 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Depending on the needs of the office, hours may vary on occasion.

The Office Specialist for Baptist Cardiology will provide business services for patients and the healthcare system. You will be responsible for patient registration, scanning documents, and posting charges and payments.

Office Specialist Job Responsibilities

• Telephone protocols
• Serve as a liaison between our customers and our practice
• Manage a large amount of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
• Schedule appointments as needed
• Prepare patient charts prior to appointments
• Submit and obtain external medical records
• Coordinate with third party vendors to complete medical record requests
• Follow call scripts for handling different scenarios
• Identify customer needs and provide solutions
• Data entry tasks
• Provide excellent customer service
• Manage Medical Records on base queue and index documents in EPIC
• Manage Medical Record Requests on base queue and send requests to HIM
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements

• One-Two Years Front Desk Experience Preferred
• Experience Working in a Medical Office Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required
