Job summary

S&ME Inc. is seeking an Office Principal in Cincinnati to lead a growing, 30+ person operation spanning geotechnical, construction materials testing and environmental projects across Ohio and nearby states.

You will oversee project delivery, client satisfaction, staff development, and business growth, fostering safety, collaboration, and innovation while driving profitability and market presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, construction or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in engineering/construction/consulting with 5+ years leading teams.
• Professional license/registration in the AEC industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily office operations including staffing, scheduling, project oversight, and facilities.
• Drive financial performance by managing profitability, budgets, revenue forecasting and reporting.
• Promote a culture of safety and technical excellence with high-quality client service.
• Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership to align local and broader goals.
• Lead talent management, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
