Job summary

Release, Inc. is seeking an organized Office Manager & Training Specialist to support administrative operations, workplace technology, and employee training. This blended role coordinates leadership and staff, manages office systems, and leads staff development activities.

The ideal candidate is technically capable, highly organized, and able to train staff with clear, approachable explanations. Experience in nonprofit youth services and trauma-informed care is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook/Calendar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other workplace technology systems, with ability to learn new tools and teach others
  • Experience organizing, coordinating, delivering, and documenting staff training with clear communication
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and ability to train staff in safety, boundaries, and respectful service
  • Experience in child welfare, social work, human services, nonprofit youth services, or related field preferred
  • Ability to balance office management with training duties and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, professional interactions with staff, leadership, vendors, and partners
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative, training, or nonprofit experience; bachelor’s degree preferred

Release, Inc. is seeking an organized, resourceful, and people-focused Office Manager & Training Specialist to support our administrative operations, workplace technology, and employee training programs.

This is a blended role for someone who enjoys creating order, solving problems, teaching others, and helping an organization operate effectively. The person in this position will serve as a central point of coordination for leadership, employees, vendors, office systems, and staff development activities.

The ideal candidate is technically confident, highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to explain systems and processes in a clear and approachable manner. Experience in child welfare, social work, human services, nonprofit youth services, or another mission-driven environment is strongly preferred.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Manage daily office operations, including office equipment, supplies, vendor relationships, administrative systems, and general office organization
  • Serve as a central administrative support point for leadership and staff by managing incoming phone calls, email inquiries, scheduling needs, and coordination with appropriate team members
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, trainings, events, appointments, and staff-facing communications to support smooth daily operations
  • Plan, coordinate, and help deliver staff training programs that improve employee performance, support organizational goals, strengthen staff development, and reinforce trauma-informed service delivery
  • Provide technology training and user support for staff, including helping employees learn workplace systems, create efficient workflows, follow documentation expectations, and adopt new tools or processes
  • Support training related to trauma-informed care, child welfare, social work practices, mandatory reporting, professional boundaries, documentation standards, and other topics relevant to serving youth and families
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling sessions, communicating requirements, tracking attendance and completion, maintaining training records, and supporting onboarding-related training needs
  • Lead and coordinate cross-departmental administrative, operational, and training-related projects as assigned by leadership
  • Perform other administrative, training, and operational duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook/Calendar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other workplace technology systems, with demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly and teach others how to use them effectively
  • Experience organizing, coordinating, delivering, and documenting staff training, including the ability to explain information clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and communicate expectations to staff
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and ability to support or train staff in practices that promote safety, consistency, professional boundaries, and respectful service to youth and families
  • Experience in child welfare, social work, human services, nonprofit youth services, or a closely related field preferred
  • Ability to balance administrative office management duties with training responsibilities, including strong follow-through, attention to detail, and comfort supporting both leadership and frontline staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear instruction, create simple training resources, and communicate professionally with staff, leadership, vendors, and community partners
  • High level of customer service, discretion, judgment, professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with staff, youth, families, and community partners
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative, training, human services, child welfare, social work, or nonprofit experience; bachelor’s degree preferred

Compensation And Benefits

Release offers an annual salary of $52,000–$57,000, depending on relevant qualifications and experience.
