Job Description

Reporting to the Chair of the Education Department, the Office Manager will provide administrative support to the Education Department, including faculty and staff. This individual is the first point of contact for visitors to the Education Department.

Primary responsibilities for this position are to manage the ongoing operations of the Education Department office and budgets for the Education Department (including budgets for the Community Youth and Education Studies major and the Doctoral program), the Hiatt Center, and the Adam Institute.

Job Requirements
  • Associates degree, preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience working in an office setting, preferably in higher education.
  • 2-3 years minimum of relevant previous experience.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Budget experience.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure managing multiple priorities.
  • Attention to accuracy, detail and deadline.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide high-quality work and work independently.
  • Prior experience working with and contributing to a diverse workplace with the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of constituents on campus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools, Google drive/documents.
  • Banner knowledge a plus.

The ideal candidate will have excellent receptionist and general clerical skills, the ability to work independently, and will be able to serve a diverse population in a college setting. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as excellent organizational and decision\-making skills.

Additional Information

Expected Hiring Range: $19.81 to $23.94 per hour

This range represents Clark University's good‑faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting consistent with Clark's compensation philosophy and internal alignment.
