Bookkeeping Plus, Inc. is one of the top firms of its type in the area, with thirty employees and 38 years of success. We are now hiring for a position that embodies the functions of both Office Manager and Executive Assistant.

This is a high-level position. As Office Manager, you will have the front-line management responsibility for the staff, building, operations, and day-to-day administration of our offices in Greenfield, Indiana. As Executive Assistant, you will work closely with the CEO.

The successful candidate will have serious, long-term experience in the service-business sector, regardless of whether your previous job title was Operations Manager, Practice Manager, General Manager, Office Manager, or Executive Assistant.

Bookkeeping Plus, Inc. provides accounting and payroll services to a wide variety of business, school, government, and nonprofit clients, around Indiana and beyond.

DUTIES

  • Supervise all administrative functions, including staff, customer service, reception, phone, filing, recordkeeping, clerical, and facility
  • Executive Assistant to the CEO
  • Manage calendars
  • Email and intra-office and external communications
  • Internal bookkeeping: Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Payroll: submit to third-party payroll company
  • Human Resources: variety of HR functions and recordkeeping
  • Insurance and retirement benefits for staff
  • Work schedules and PTO
  • New hires and orientation
  • Make sure office is kept clean, safe, and fully operational
  • Event planning, company trips, special projects, etc.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or a relevant business field

Must-have Experience:

  • Five years in a similar management position
  • Bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks (A/P and A/R)
  • Experience with human resources and payroll
  • Executive Assistant experience
  • Multitasking; staying organized; time management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Outlook, Excel, Word, Acrobat, and the ability to learn new software
  • Being proactive and prioritizing
