Purpose Statement of Crossroads Community Church

Position Summary
This position is responsible for supervising the front office staff (paid and volunteers) and supporting the administrative needs of the Executive Pastors.

- Preferably regularly attends one of the weekend worship services.
- Demonstrates skills in relating to and working with volunteers, church staff, the congregation, and others, in a team environment.
- Agrees to abide by the staff handbook and sign the Crossroads Statement of Faith.
- Passes the Crossroads background check screening on a repeating basis.
- Able to use computer and office equipment and lift up to 20 pounds.
Position Qualifications/Specifications
- Minimum/Preferred Experience: At least 5 years of church administrative experience; 5+ years preferred.
- Minimum/Preferred Education: Associate degree/Bachelor degree preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, Competencies: Above average people and supervisory skills, exceptional data entry skills, problem solving skills, outstanding people skills, flexibility and able to adapt to change, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to perform in a rapidly changing environment, effective and efficient working in a busy office with many interruptions. Skillful with Microsoft Office 365. Quick learner with computer applications and software.
Employment Schedule: 28 hours; four days a week. 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Weekends, monitor incoming church emails, approx. 30 minutes/weekend.

Specific Responsibilities, Principle Duties, and Responsibilities
- Administrative Support
- Supervises front office staff (paid and volunteers). Determines duties and responsibilities of front office staff. Oversees and monitors workflow and work schedules of front office staff.
- Provides administrative support to the Executive Team (Lead Pastor, Executive Pastors).
- Uses an administrative services pool concept, receives incoming projects from ministry staff, and assigns them to the appropriate front office team member.
- Ensures someone is at the front desk during office hours.
- Oversees office supplies inventory, purchasing, and distribution.
- Acts as the primary liaison with outsourced computer technology providers and outside vendors for copier/printer maintenance and supplies.
- Maintains and updates Certificates of Insurance files.
- Responsible for weekly offering count and deposit preparation.
- Maintains petty cash account and prepares checks for signatures.
- Holds, maintains, and reconciles a church credit card for staff use.
- Prepares and publishes the church directory upon request.
- Provides administrative assistance for 'Joining Crossroads' and Pathway to Discipleship classes.
- Assists with building door schedules, fobs, and key assignments.
- Supports the Director of Safety with administrative tasks.
- Monitors church emails during the weekend and handles requests as needed.
- General
- Promotes and complies with departmental and organizational policies, including timely delivery of documentation, punctual attendance, positive staff relationships, and adherence to practices and policies.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
