Job summary

Job description

The Office Manager keeps the office spinning right round by keeping our office up to date, informed, and organized! If you’re a master of office procedures, we have a great opportunity for you! Our Interstate Logos office in Albuquerque, New Mexico is now hiring a management team member to help us enhance the Interstate Logo Program in New Mexico.

The purpose of the Office Manager is to oversee all office functions and administrative responsibilities, including managing clerical staff, maintaining payroll hours, and staying informed on all HR policies and regulations. The Office Manager also handles all correspondence and maintains the integrity of processes related to the Interstate Logo Program.

The Interstate Logos division of Lamar Advertising is the largest provider of contract logo signing and tourist-oriented directional signing (TODS) programs, partnering with State Transportation Agencies since 1988. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lamar Media Corp., which is part of Lamar Advertising.

What we are looking for in YOU:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database applications
  • Strong numerical and accounting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Strong command of English, both written and oral
  • Ability to monitor and maintain customer and office information
  • Professional work ethic, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently or in a team
  • Familiarity with office equipment like fax, copiers, scanners
  • Ability to handle daily challenges and prioritize tasks
Education and experience:
  • Preferably a college degree in business or related field
  • At least 1 year of administrative/office experience
  • Office management training preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required

A day in the life:
  • Supervise office clerical staff
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, including customer calls, correspondence, invoice processing, and financial record keeping
  • Coordinate with HR on employee benefits, worker’s compensation, and related needs
  • Assist employees and departments with administrative tasks and information requests
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare banking documents
  • Run errands such as banking deposits and postal visits
  • Support special projects as directed by management
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Mainly office environment
  • Light lifting, reaching, reading, talking
  • Less than 10% travel away from home
