Transportation Office Lead – Memphis, TN

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Transportation Office Lead to help establish and grow its transportation presence in Memphis, TN. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial engineering leader who wants to play a key role in shaping an office, building a team, and influencing the future direction of the business.

The successful candidate will lead transportation projects while helping expand the firm's presence across Tennessee, working closely with leadership and collaborating with teams across transportation, water/wastewater, and water resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of transportation infrastructure projects from planning through design and construction support
• Help establish and grow the Memphis transportation practice, including recruiting and mentoring staff
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local agencies, and project stakeholders
• Collaborate with transportation, water/wastewater, and water resources teams on multidisciplinary projects
• Oversee project planning, budgets, schedules, and technical quality
• Support business development, client engagement, and strategic growth initiatives
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering staff
