Job summary

SOL Engineering Services LLC is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer (Transportation) to lead transportation engineering in the Memphis region. This role combines technical leadership with business development to grow backlog and deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, PE licensure, and strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, sub consultants and utility companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• PE license in Mississippi or ability to obtain within one year.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and teams.
• Experience with federal, state, and local permitting is a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design projects from concept through completion on-time and within budget.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
• Develop and manage office and project budgets and standards.
• Lead business development to grow transportation backlog.
• Manage project management plans including QA/QC, schedules and reporting.
• Coordinate with clients, sub consultants, utilities, and internal teams.
