Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. in New York City seeks an Office Engineer to support the Project Manager/Resident Engineer on infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes document control, coordination, and accurate cost data.

Prior NYCDDC experience and NICET certification are valued, with a strong need for proactive, detail-oriented professionals capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Full-time on-site position offering competitive hourly compensation and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (office engineer, construction inspection, or infrastructure PM).
• Prior NYCDDC experience is required.
• NICET III or IV certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and administrative support to the Project Manager/Resident Engineer.
• Manage and maintain all project documentation and controls (RFIs, submittals, change orders, correspondence).
• Oversee logs for RFIs, submittals, delays and change orders to ensure transparency.
• Perform quantity take-offs and calculations to support payments and cost tracking.
• Prepare monthly estimates, progress payments, and force account documentation.
• Review inspection reports, field quantities and cost data for accuracy.
• Coordinate with NYCDDC and city agencies to progress projects.
• Track punch lists and assist in close-out documentation.
