Job summary

Holder Construction Group seeks an entry-level Office Engineer to join our Operations team on a project site in Ohio. This full-time, in-person role supports on-site trade coordination, material design, fabrication, delivery and installation, and cost and design issue management.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a construction/engineering field, strong communication and time-management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site trades and manage material design, fabrication, delivery and installation, and support cost/design issue management.
• Read and interpret Construction Design Documents and Specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Assist in overall trade management with exposure to BIM.

We are looking for an Entry-Level Office Engineer to join our Operations team on our project site at one of our multiple Ohio locations. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

• Initial responsibilities would include on site trade coordination and management, coordination of material design, fabrication, delivery and installation, ongoing interaction with field supervision, management of cost and design issues (change orders, RFI’s, document updates, etc.) and other responsibilities focused on overall project management and success.
• Read and understand Construction Design Documents and Specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Overall trade management and coordination, and some level of exposure to BIM.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a construction/engineering related field
• Successful candidates will also possess outstanding communication and time management skills, computer skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred:

• Willingness to relocate as needed.
