Job summary

Office Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator II)
Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary hiring range is up to $4,367 - $4,543 per month (Steps 1 – 3), commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The salary range for this classification is $4,367 to $6,362 per month.

  • This full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week) position is temporary and expected to end on or before December 31, 2026. Extension of this assignment is contingent upon sufficient additional funding and satisfactory performance.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

As the Office Coordinator to the Senior Director of Admissions & Records and to the University Registrar, this position is responsible for providing high level, confidential support and administrative assistance to the Office of Admissions & Registrar by complete major projects to support registration and enrollment management activities, maintenance of the website, designs and updates all office forms used in the office and acts as a liaison with other campus offices and programs to coordinate special projects. This position is also responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Admissions & Registrar’s front office and the leadwork oversight of all department student assistant positions. Additional responsibilities include providing technical support to the department which includes responsibility for evaluation of work procedures and compliance with university policy. The incumbent is also responsible for handling special projects, confidential student records, and other highly sensitive information.

  • Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills to effectively compose various correspondence and standard reports
  • Handle effectively a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level, sensitive or confidential in nature, and serve as a liaison for the unit.
  • Ability to create and maintain program records and provide data for review in developing and implementing strategies and activities to meet programmatic goals and enhance processes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and promote a positive, service oriented collegial work environment.
  • Ability to serve as a resource to students, staff and the community in responding to inquiries and providing detailed information concerning programs and events
Education and Experience
  • Completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program or their equivalents
  • Four years of progressively responsible administrative support, clerical, and secretarial experience with a wide variety of duties and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a complex data system, preferably PeopleSoft Student Administration System
  • Experience and knowledge of university/higher education policies and procedures or other complex regulations
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree
