Under the general supervision of the Cemetery Director, these positions perform a variety of administrative duties in support of cemetery operations. Areas of responsibility include coordination of committal, interment, and pre-registration programs in accordance with prescribed operating/regulatory requirements; organization of record keeping, correspondence and filing. These positions assist with coordinating funeral service activities with funeral homes, family members, and cemetery personnel.

The starting pay rate for the Office Associate position is $19.49 an hour.
This classification is in Pay Schedule 02, Pay Range 09. Pay will be set in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. For current and eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan, effective at the time of hire.

This position is not represented by a bargaining unit.
This position is part-time. Around Memorial Day, during training, and at various times throughout the year, the schedule may increase up to five days per week to meet seasonal operational needs. Work hours are typically between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Due to the nature of this position’s duties, the work of this position will be performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, sometimes in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
LTE jobs are limited to 1039 hours in a 12-month period and do not include employee benefits.
Due to the nature of the positions, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment.
Minimally qualified applicants will have training and/or experience with ALL of the following:
Office administration (e.g., record keeping, form completion, confidential information, scanning/printing, etc.); AND
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); AND
