Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a dedicated front desk administrator to maintain a welcoming environment, enroll and check in clients, greet visitors, and handle phone inquiries. You will support office operations, oversee the shower program, and assist with bookkeeping tasks in a mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and one year of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Experience in bookkeeping, payroll preparation, or financial record-keeping is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and schedule appointments, ensuring efficient time management and coordination.
  • Maintain an organized filing system and updated contact lists to support office operations.
  • Implement and maintain office policies and procedures to promote efficiency and consistency.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring professional communication and customer service.
  • Support the Corps Officers with additional organizational tasks, including various clerical responsibilities.
  • Oversee centralized bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies.
  • Prepare payroll documentation and ensure timely processing
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Corps officers to support overall office and program functions.

General Purpose For Job

Maintains the Front desk, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for all clients and visitors. Provides a high level of customer service by enrolling and checking in clients, greeting guests, and answering phone inquiries. Directs clients through the facility with clarity and professionalism. Upholds a professional and organized appearance, both in person and over the phone, representing The Salvation Army positively and professionally. Oversee our Shower program and performs general office duties to support administrative operations efficiently.
