Job summary

AMVT LLC, a Katy, Texas-based company, seeks an Office and Warehouse Associate for its Katy office. The role combines warehouse duties, shipping/receiving, inventory management and general office tasks. Travel up to 25% for trade shows is required, and forklift/pallet jack operation is a preferred skill.

This full-time position offers a competitive wage with PTO and insurance allowance; candidates should have at least a high school diploma and 2 years in warehousing or related fields.

Qualifications

• Warehouse: 2 years experience required.
• Inventory management: 1 year required.
• Shipping & receiving: 2 years required.
• Forklift operation: 1 year required.
• Spanish preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25% (as needed for trade shows)
• Experience with machinery installation/maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, sort, organize, record, pack, unpack, ship, handle, load and unload shipments from suppliers/vendors to company and to customers/trade shows.
• Keep documentation of shipping, receiving, travel and service actions in the company database.
• Maintain organized inventory of machines, parts, samples, tools with up-to-date records.
• Uncrate/crate and set up machines in warehouse and for trade shows.
• Organize trade show materials and attend trade shows.
• Ensure safety and security of warehouse environment and goods.
• Monitor office/warehouse supplies and place orders as needed.
• Assist in sample testing and report results.
• Keep office and warehouse clean.
• Document expenses and submit reports.

AMVT LLC is a Katy, Texas based company specialized in sales, marketing and customer support of optical sorting machine commonly used in rice, grain, beans, nuts, coffee and seeds processing and food inspection and packaging machine. Our wide range of products include full color RGB sorter, Infra-red (IR) sorter, belt sorter, x-ray sorter, metal detector, checkweigher and packaging machine. Currently we are looking for Office and Warehouse Associate for Katy TX office.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Fluent in listening, speaking, reading and writing in English;
2. Strong work ethic, highly self-motivated, well organized and detail-oriented;
3. Good communication and interaction skills with people;
4. Self-motivated, self-disciplined and ability to work with minimal supervision
5. Must be able to travel up to 30% to attend trade shows and other tasks;
6. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds;
7. Knowledge and practical experience of equipment, e.g., forklift, pallet jack, machine operation and maintenance;
8. High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability;
9. Integrity and professionalism;
10. Proficiency in MS Office;
11. Experience with food, grain, seeds, beans, and/or nuts processing highly preferred;
12. Two years of experience in industry machinery installation and service preferred;

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Receive, store, sort, organize, record, pack, unpack, ship, handle, load and unload shipments, such as machine parts or machine or sample from suppliers/vendors to company, from company to customer, trade show or local offices, etc.;
2. Keep good documentation/records of shipping, receiving, traveling and service actions in company database;
3. Keep the inventory including machines, parts, samples, tools well organized and easily tracked and maintain current records in database;
4. Uncrate/crate and set up the machine in the warehouse and/or for tradeshows;
5. Organize trade show material and attend trade show;
6. Make sure the safety and security of warehouse environment and all goods;
7. Check frequently the levels of office/warehouse supplies and place appropriate orders;
8. Assist in sample test and test result report;
9. Keep office and warehouse clean;
10. Document expenses and hand in reports
